Mobility Needs

The Visitor’s Center and Museum are wheelchair accessible. In the Historic Home, there is a ramp to the first floor, and pictures of the second floor are offered for viewing by the tour guide.

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted inside the buildings. Therapy animals, emotional support animals, and companion animals are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act and are not permitted in the Museum.

Language Accessibility

A printed translation detailing Sam's story is available for Japanese, Spanish, French, and German speakers.

Sensory Sensitivity

During several of our onsite living history program there will be stations with loud noise elements. Please let one of our staff know if you have a sensory sensitivity and we will assist you in planning your tour experience to avoid these specific stations. We also have a quiet area that can be accessed.
