The historic Sam Davis Home, located along the banks of Stewarts Creek in Smyrna, Tennessee, is the perfect place for a unique wedding, event, social gathering, or corporate meeting space. The cedar-lined driveway sets the mood for a calmer, more tranquil pace and more than 160 acres of the original plantation offer many locations and atmospheres to choose from for the event you have imagined. Are you looking for a venue for a shower, party or reunion? The Sam Davis Home has the place for you!

- Includes eight 60" round tables, fifty chairs, and a large banquet table for your use
- Comfortably accomodates up to fifty seated guests and one hundred standing guests with additional room on the back deck
The Creek House is available for rent by the hour or all day Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday rentals are available only by the hour. Please allow yourself enough time for set up and clean up, as you will not be able to enter until a few minutes before your rental time begins.
If you are looking for a different atmosphere or an outdoor venue, we also have the Visitor Center lobby, conference room and covered veranda with lights and ceilings fans as well as the barn and various locations throughout the garden grounds.
Corporate & Meeting Rental
For corporate events and meetings, the Sam Davis Home property is a venue that provides an incredible backdrop with options for indoor, outdoor or both, and can accomodate a small or large number of guests and vehicles. From music video and photography sets, small corporate meetings and presentations, to large branding events, concerts and 5Ks, anything is possible.

With payment of a photography fee, photography sessions are allowed on the grounds of the Sam Davis Home plantation year-round and yield incredibly breathtaking photographs. Buttercups, irises, and lilies fill the property in spring, the summer provides lots of greenery, in the fall, the grounds explode with colors as our many tree species change into yellows, oranges, and reds, and as fall turns to winter, our cotton field blooms with beautiful white bolls. Our property covers over 160 acres and provides an endless amount of backdrops for your special photos.
When is the Site Available for Photo Shoots?
Typically, the site is available any time Monday through Friday during business hours. The site is also available on Saturdays provided there is no wedding that day. Please call to confirm that we won't be hosting an event, wedding, or field trip on your desired day. The site is available after hours with 3 full business days notice, pending a staff member is available to cover it. After hours shoots require pre-payment, whereas during business hours shoots can be paid upon arrival.
What is the Videography Policy?
We welcome videographers to come out and shoot at the site! We do, however, need to receive board approval in order to confirm any videography session. Please email email@example.com with as many details about your film as possible, as well as a shoot date and time. Board approval typically takes 2-5 weeks, so please contact us as early as possible in order to ensure approval prior to the date you hope to film.
What are the Check In Procedures?
All photo shoots must check in at the visitor center. You will then pay (if not pre-paid), sign a photography code of conduct, and check out a photo shoot badge, intended to be visible for the duration of your shoot. We do require that you leave your ID with us at the desk until you check out and return the photo shoot badge. The badge is intended to help staff know who is on the property and what the purpose is. It will prevent you from being disturbed during your shoot.
What about Prom Photos?
We will be opening the site from 4:00-6:00 pm for prom photo shoots on the dates listed below. These photos will not require pre payment, but will instead require cash or check upon arrival. Those fees will be $15 per prom attendee or $25 per couple.
