2010 is a year of celebration as the Sam Davis Home welcomes the 200th birthday of the historic home’s original structure. This historic house has been a home to many members of the Davis family and now is home to beautifully restored and originally crafted quilts in this year’s “Home Sweet Home” Quilt Show.
Home is where the heart is….. Home is where your History begins….. There is no place like home…… Home is where a thing is usually found, or was first found, or where it is naturally abundant; a habitat; one’s native land; where ones ancestors dwelled;…. Home is your place or mine……..Home is many different things and feelings to many different people.
Come celebrate "HOME" and its many interpretations at this year's Quilt Show - September 23, 24, and 25, 2010 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm each day. Directions to the Sam Davis Home can be found here.
We are excited to announce that we are celebrating the Spirit of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in Sisters, Oregon. We are having an entry category, "In the Spirit of Sisters" this year. Volunteer at the Quilt Show!
Tennessee IS the Volunteer State!
It takes volunteers to make the Sam Davis Quilt Show happen. Would you be able to help with our volunteer needs? Volunteers have free admission to the Quilt Show and lunch provided on the days they work. Everything is set-up to make your volunteer experience something you will want to repeat! Sign up quickly to mkae sure you get to fill one of our volunteer spots!
To sign up to volunteer, you can submit the following information one of two ways - by contacting the Director of the Sam Davis Home at (615) 459-2341 or director@samdavishome.org or by hitting the contact button at the bottom of this page. You can also put the information on paper and mail it to the Sam Davis Home at 1399 Sam Davis Road, Smyrna, TN 37167. Please include the following information:
