General Tour Information
Regular tours begin with a viewing of Sam Davis: His Life, Legend, and Legacy in our elegant theatre. When the film ends, you are encouraged to spend as much time as you like in the galleries of the museum which opened in November 2003. After your self-guided tour of the museum, a site interpreter will lead you on a guided tour through the grounds, outbuildings, and historic Sam Davis Home. Allow approximately an hour and a half to enjoy the full tour.
Guided tours depart from the Visitor Center on the hour. The last tour is one hour before closing.
If you are not interested in a guided tour, there are several informational markers and signs located throughout the property. All visitors are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful grounds during our regular business hours, but please check-in at the Visitor Center upon your arrival.
Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Visitor’s Center and Museum.
Food and Drink
Food and drinks are not permitted inside any building on the Historic Sam Davis Home property, but we do encourage you to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the ground! Bring a blanket or enjoy it at one of our picnic tables.
Please see our Photography Page for more information about photography policies and procedures, and to see if you are considered a photographer or not.
The Visitor’s Center and Museum is wheelchair accessible. However, the Sam Davis Home is not accessible by wheelchair. There is a ramp to the first floor of the historic home that can accommodate walkers, and pictures of the second floor are offered for viewing. Service animals are permitted inside the buildings.
A printed translation detailing Sam's story is available for Japanese, Spanish, French, and German speakers.
