The Sam Davis Home and Museum located in Smyrna, Tennessee, is seeking part-time Site Interpreters & Event Staff to begin immediately. Open daily for tours, special events, educational field trips, and more, the Sam Davis Home sits along the bank of Stewarts Creek on 168 acres of preserved farmland with fourteen historic structures. As a vital part of the historic house team, Site Interpreters are the gateway to our visitors, giving them the unique, enjoyable hands-on experience they are looking for.
Site Interpreter responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Requires a fair amount of walking on uneven ground, exposure to outdoor temperatures, and the ability to be own manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable, and hardworking, show initiative, and possess excellent communication skills. Should have experience dealing with the public, all ages and backgrounds, an interest in history and/or community relations, able to work independently and as a team player, and available to work weekends with flexibility to work weekday mornings. Applicants without weekday availability need not apply.

Hours: Thursdays- Saturdays, with flexibility to work some Sundays and weekdays as needed. Nights required occasionally.
Starting Pay: $7.25 per hour
